1st come, 1 st serve

After received few calls from my loyal customers when I will start making cookies, then only I realized that CNY is coming.....

I had run around few "Ingredient Supply shop" at PJ/Shah Alam look for the most important ingredient "Almond", but all gave me the same answer "OUT of stock n could not confirm the arrival date". Anyhow, I will try my best to get as many as I could. Meanwhile you still could place your order, (email to me or call me directly). But it will be on "1st Come, 1st Serve" basis.

While searching for the ingredients, I saw "Green Pea's flour" on the shelve, I just bought a packet and give it a try and it turn out to be not bad oh!!! (anyway this is Not for Sales) Hahaha.....

Mix & Match

Bought few Japanese Sweet Potato, wanted to steam and eat as dinner, who knows always happen someone or neighbor (A) / (B) sending dinner over, end up, I had no chance to eat it.

Is better for me to find an alternative way to finish it (before it gets rotten)

Since I haven't post any Tong Sui before, then just try this out (taste the different from original Red Bean soup)

Mix Bean (Red n Green) + Japanese Sweet Potato Tong Sui ()
(The proportion of Red Ben to Green Bean is 70 : 30 )

- Always boil Red Bean 1st (for at least ½ hour to 1) together with Pandan leaf.

- Then only add in Green beans, and keep on cooking under low medium heat. (for another 1/2 - 1 hour) Slightly open the cover to avoid spill out.

- Add in rock sugar/brown sugar to taste.

- Add in sago (soak for a while, till the water become clear) bit by bit and stir.

- Last add in Sweet Potato cubes, cook for a while, then off the heat and continue cover it for another 1 - 2 hours, then only serve.

Sammi Loh!

Sai mai lo 西米露 or more unofficially referred to as Sago pudding.

The main ingredient is made of tiny beads of sago, in addition to coconut or evaporated milk.

I used HL milk instate because I can't take coconut milk (always burp after consuming it, Oops!! I am sorry).

To make my version of Sai Mai Lo, simple as 1, 2, 3....

1) Cook sago in Gula Melaka water (better use Molasses sugar) with pandan leave.
2) Blend Honey Dew with HL milk and pour into the glass
3) Add some ice and top with another scope of Vanilla Ice-cream (optional).

** DONE **
