Blessed Gift!

This blessed Themos’s “Pasta Cooker” was from my “Aai Ya Tai Ga Jia” when she came to know that I love pasta.

This Pasta Cooker is very easy to use

1) Just add 10gm of salt into the container
2) Fill with boiling water
3) Putting the mesh basket and set pasta in it, cook according to the pasta indicating time and drain the hot water.

This time I am using Capelli d’angelo (commonly known as Angel’s hair), extremely fine pasta. (only need 2 minutes of cooking time) I love the texture, is like “Wan Tan Mee”

Aglio Olio Pasta
1) Heat up wok with Extra Virgin Olive oil, fried garlic till fragrance
2) Add in “Fresh Swiss Brown mushroom,
3) Add in a dash of ground black pepper & oyster sauce,
4) Cook till mushroom are soft, pour ingredients onto ready pasta and mix well

Vegetarian Version
1) Heat up wok with Extra Virgin Oil
2) Fried “Choy Poh” & preserved olives in oil till almost brown
3) Add in mushroom and dry herbs (Oregano, Thyme, Basil or any of your choice)
4) Add in a dash of ground black pepper
5) Cook till mushroom are soft, pour ingredients onto ready pasta and mix well.

Charlie’s Angels

Charlie's Angels - is about three pretty private investigation agents.

And here, I have three Angels too (Angel Passionfruit, Angel Pineapple & Angel Golden Cherry).

As usual, their boss Charlie, is never seen full face — (where the viewer only sees the back of his head and his arms) - assigning cases to the Angels via a speaker phone.

Guess, What play the role of Charlie here?? and where is Charlie now??

If you are able to guess it out, I will make this drink for you.

Have fun guessing……..

Mid Autumn Madness

“Mooncake Craze” is the only word can describe my love towards Mooncake, I really crave for this day to come. Every year I will visit different stall/kiosks to find out any new edition. “SHY” to say how many had gone into my stomach, but definitely more than anyone of you la! Last weekend, step into Sunway Pyramid and came back few packet, below are the few that can be recommended and considered. (Of course, it depends on your taste buds too…..)

PURPLE CANE @Jasmine Green Tea Mooncake

Their Green Tea Mooncake is a must for me, the skin itself is made of Green Tea, and the paste is made of white lotus with Jasmine tea/Rose tea , this is the different from others (others just mix the Green Tea into the lotus paste, too sweet)

YONG SHENG @Nyonya Pudding Curry Moon Cake

The counter just right in-front of Giant, from Muar, Melaka, they only set up their counter during Mid Autumn festival and Chinese New Year. They had the most variety and the most innovative Mooncake. U can try all their products (they staff is more than willing to serve you)

Worth trying :-

- Vegetarian Green Bean (Salty) Moon Cake

- Mushroom Sambal Pies

LUNAR GARDEN @
Beauty Melon (Dragon fruit + Low sugar white lotus) & Tiramisu (Coffee Lotus + Cheese - very very light) ** I LOVE this 2 most **

Had heard about them few years back, but they only had counter at Mid Valley, (because I only dare to drive up to One Utama area) so I miss the chance to try. This is the 1st year they set-up their counter at Jaya Jusco, Pyramid. Sure I will not let go the chance la!!

Teochew People, 潮州人

What is your 1st impression when talk about Chaozhou or TeoChew people (潮州人)?? 8 out of 10 will answer you “TeoChew porridge (潮州糜 or mue, we called it 粥) lah!!

The TeoChew mue is rather different from Cantonese porridge or congee. Mue (潮州糜) is very watery with the rice sitting loosely at the bottom of the bowl. In HK they call it "Da Leng" (打冷). Eating out at roadside food stalls close to midnight before they go to bed.

When I was kid, we never miss a single lunch of porridge (rice is only for dinner) and not mistaken my mum will cook this Minced Pork Porridge during year end house cleaning day (大掃除), may be it was easier to prepare one pot rather then cook so many dishes, N till today, it’s still my favorite.

尤鱼, Minced Pork Porridge

- Cook porridge as usual, until boiling.

- Add in Shredded Ginger, Shredded dry Sotong (尤鱼 )& Tong Chai (boil for another 10 – 15 minutes)

- Add in minced pork (marinated with little soya sauce + pepper)

(stir longer to become starchy , if you prefer congee texture)

- Add Soya sauce & Pepper to taste

- Sprinkle Coriander leaf before serving.

All the way from Japan!!

When I received this parcel from my sister in-law (she works in Japan), I was wonder wat "Tong, Tong," is this, see also never see b4, (may b I am too "SuaKu" : just out from jungle) after looking left & right, up & down, I only know "Rakuwa" one word and the picture showing wearing it on the neck. Ask me to wear? so weird (so man kind of stuff), still puzzle around.......... suddenly a picture came into my mind. Ehhh.... it looks familiar leh! "Lee Chong Wei" also wearing it during the men's singles final with Lin Dan, at that time I was thinking that he was wearing some kind of lucky charm necklace. Without much hesitation, I made a search on Yahoo! and the information said that :-

- Recommended for people with stiffness/tension in their neck/shoulders.
- For better nights rest
- For relaxation and stress reduction

you could wear it around neck, wrist, ankle or any other location of pain, stiffness and discomfort. Can be worn while sleeping.

Wear to sleep? Will I strain myself??? Ha Ha...........

See, so many (I didn't show all) and different flavor of Kit-Kat. Ehhh!!..... she wants me to take a break?? or wants me to put on some weight???
Kit-Kat is one of my favorite Chocolate, (my top priority is still the one we had in Germany) but Drs. advice not to take too much (due to my migraine), but sometime just can not control......
